Ki Ora NZ is a health promotion agency dedicated to supporting communities throughout Aotearoa.

What We’re About

At Ki Ora NZ, our work is all about connection, wellbeing, and growth — for communities and organisations alike.

“Ki Ora” means moving toward life, health, and understanding. It’s how we approach everything we do.

We support people and teams to build cultural confidence through hands-on workshops, proven research, and practical learning that sticks.

It’s not just talk — it’s action, grounded in kaupapa Māori and guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

NZQA-Recognised Training with Backing from Leading University Research.

Kia Ora NZ works in partnership with Private Training Establishments (PTEs) and collaborates closely with universities to deliver high-impact, kinaesthetic workshops across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our workshops are delivered nationwide in schools, universities, government organisations, and community groups. They are designed to strengthen health and safety procedures and enhance cultural confidence within teams and organisations.

Specialising in hands-on, experiential learning, Kia Ora NZ tailors each workshop to meet your specific organisational needs — ensuring relevance, engagement, and lasting impact.

Our Mission

We’re your one-stop wellbeing partner — led by a workplace coach who knows HR, health & safety, and wellness strategy inside out. Our team brings real-life experience, cultural know-how, and practical tools to every workshop.

Whether it’s a staff wellbeing day, a safer worksite plan, cultural competency training, or community support — we tailor everything to fit your team and goals. We’re here to help you make real, lasting change.

What we do

  • At Ki Ora NZ, our team comes from all walks of life — Defence, Police, Urban Search & Rescue — but what connects us is a shared passion for helping people show up stronger, more prepared, and more grounded in who they are.

We run practical, down-to-earth workshops that focus on real stuff: resilience, leadership, mental health, cultural awareness, and just being better humans — at work, in our communities, and in ourselves.

We love working alongside charitable trusts, community groups, and organisations that care about people. Together, we offer wrap-around support that’s not just about ticking boxes — it’s about helping others build confidence, reconnect with purpose, and keep going when things get tough.

This is about wellbeing that actually works — with heart, with honesty, and with people at the centre.

“Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini.”
My strength is not that of a single warrior, but that of many.

  • At Ki Ora NZ, we’re all about helping people and teams get ready — not just for the good days, but for the tough ones too. We support others to build the physical strength, mental clarity, and practical tools they need to stay steady under pressure and perform at their best when it really counts.

Our team has been in the thick of it — from the Christchurch earthquakes to the national COVID-19 response — and we've stood shoulder to shoulder with frontline teams, pro athletes, and sports clubs, including rugby legends, to build trust, resilience, and real connection.

This isn’t just theory — it’s lived experience, shared to uplift others.

“He moana pukepuke e ekengia e te waka.”
A choppy sea can still be navigated by a waka.

We believe with the right support, every team can weather the storm — and come out even stronger.

  • Community

    Who Are Our Workshops For?

Our workshops are for anyone who works with people — because culture, wellbeing, and connection matter at every level.

For team leaders and managers who want to lead with empathy and strength.

For new staff stepping into diverse, cross-cultural spaces.

For HR professionals and D&I champions working to build workplaces where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

And for anyone ready to grow, understand more deeply, and show up better for their team and community.

These workshops are about real people, real skills, and real change.
